Sculpture and land artist
Born in 1977 in Jouvenceaux, a hamlet of Sauze d’Oulx in Alta Valsusa, the sculptor Maurizio Perron began carving wood at the age of 8.
At 11, he took part in his first snow sculpture competition in Auronzo di Cadore.
Since then, he has taken part in major symposia, competitions and exhibitions of monumental sculpture around the world, making his mark by leaving behind sculptures in wood, stone, snow and ice in Europe, America, Asia and Australia, and discovering Land Art.
In December 2019, he created a suite for the famous Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, the only Italian to collaborate – for the 12th year – in the construction of the famous seasonal ice hotel.
