Blogger and content creator with a passion for mountain biking and being outside,
Laura grew up in the Scottish Highlands, and for as long as she can remember she has loved being in the mountains.
With the mountains and the North Sea on her doorstep, she has always spent more time outside than inside. She loves biking and exploring – She remembers taking her bike up the mountain path and trying to ride down them. This was long before she knew what mountain biking was. If she wasn’t outdoors walking, hiking or biking, she was out on the sea. No matter the weather, she was always outside.
She loves the outdoors and the freedom that it gives her. No matter what is going on, you can escape for a moment to the great outdoors and this always helps to clear a busy mind. For example, when you’re mountain biking it’s nice to switch off the world and have just the trail ahead of you to concentrate on.
Like the Scottish weather, mountain biking is always changing. She loves to learn and she finds mountain biking and being in the mountain gives her a great opportunity to learn. Whether she is learning a new techy trail or how to navigate a new hiking trail, there is always room for growth and learning.
She is passionate about getting more people on bikes, especially women, and she is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. There is nothing more important to her than helping others through her content. She wants to bring the love of the great outdoors to more people and help them find the love of the mountains.
3 REASONS WHY YOU LOVE NATURE
Nature is always changing and moving and I love that things never stay the same. This makes every single day different.
I love a challenge and to see what I’m capable of. I like to push myself to learn and evolve as a person and I get this from nature and adventure.
The freedom. There is nothing better than being at the top of a mountain looking down on the valley below to really feel how free you are. I find this liberating and it can be clarity to a busy mind.
