Photographer and freelance video creator
Marten Suhre is a Germany-based freelance video creator and photographer with a great passion for outdoors, adventures and landscapes. He grew up in a small village near Münster in Germany, and he has always been enthusiastic about filming and photography.
When he was 14, Marten went on his first mountain tour together with his father and his two brothers. Only with backpacks, tents and food, they hiked through the mountains of Norway for 5 days.
This was the time his love for the great outdoors and traveling started. Luckily the two passions can be perfectly combined and so there is always a camera with him, whether on the Norwegian fjell, in the Alps, in the Colombian jungle or on a motorcycle tour somewhere in Scotland.
3 reasons why you love nature
For me, nature is a wonderful, perfect and versatile place where I always find new inspiration. Depending on the time of day and the weather, a single place can create so many different moods and that is what fascinates me so much about nature.
To be outside, to travel and to be able to take photos is the ultimate feeling of freedom and adventure for me. When I am out in nature for a day or, of course, a whole week, I feel completely there and alive.
Protecting and preserving the environment is the most important thing. In today’s times in particular, we can and must be more considerate of this. As a nature photographer, I notice how difficult it is to find unspoilt landscapes or even real wilderness in the vicinity. It is all the more important to protect the nature that we still have.
