Athlete and coach, co-founder of TRM – Trail Running Movement
Marketing director for multinational companies, wife and mother, Cristina Tasselli is still the only Italian athlete to have covered 900 km in the mountains in a single stage race.
In 2016, together with Marco Mori, she brought Italy to the podium of Transpyrenea, the toughest non-stop race in the world, organized on the border between France and Spain, ranking as 3rd woman overall and 1st Italian, challenging the best champions from five continents, 350 athletes, experts in mountain or desert running, only 65 of which finished the competition.
Born in Italy, but living in Africa for many years with her family, she has practiced various sports at a competitive level, including swimming, horse riding and shooting, before dedicating herself exclusively to middle distance competitive athletics.
In the 1980s, she moved to marathons and ultra marathons on the road and finally dedicated herself full time to Ultra and Endurance Trail races for which she medaled internationally numerous times, in the over 100K: Cro Magnon Relais 120K; AVP501 500K; Montsec Ultra Trail 110K (Spain); Trail Du Cro 115K (France); The Abbots Way 125K (Italy); Transcanaria 360 ° 270K (Spain); Innsbruck Alpine Trail 100K (Austria); Peneda Gerez (Portugal) 280K; Adamello Ultra Trail 180K (Italy).
She achieved the CONI Certification as Athletic Trainer with specialization in Nutrition and Integration in Sport and left track and field athletics to devote herself to Ultra Trails.
Since 2014, she has been President and executive of sports companies and groups, including TRM – Trail Running Movement and Digital Sport 360, she has been training Elite Trail Running athletes, and she has authored articles on trail running in Italian, English and Spanish.
