Midlayers Rewoolution

The Midlayer Ras and Sybilla tested by The Pill Outdoor Journal

Text and photos by The Pill Outdoor Journal

The Pill Outdoor Journal has tried two of our most popular midlayers within the community.

Sybilla – Punto Roma 280 gr Merino wool sweatshirt for woman

After the test we fell in love with the thermoregulation capacity of this garment, it manages to make you always feel at ease even in the most intense activities. The neck closed with the zip does not tighten and is always soft, useful to protect yourself from sudden wind or rain. The inner lining is really pleasant on the skin due to a combination of soft Merino wool and Sensitive Fabrics, making the garment comfortable even for everyday activities.
The warm recycled polyester padding does not create unnecessary thickness, allowing you to store Sybilla comfortably in your backpack when it is not necessary to use it.
Differently from Ras, the model is tailor-made to the female shapes bringing this midlayer to a new level of fit: it best follows the physical structure and movements without creating any pressure point.

“After the test we fell in love with thethermoregulation capacity of this garment, it manages to make you always feel at ease even in the most intense activities.”

Ras – Punto Roma 280 gr Merino wool sweatshirt for man

The ultimate garment to face temperature changes! This sweatshirt in addition to being very light can also be stored comfortably in the backpack, useful for longer excursions that involve changes in altitude and temperature. But not only, because the elegant design and comfort obtained from Merino wool makes it pleasant to use this midlayer even in everyday life. A guarantee of easy thermoregulation is the recycled polyester padding covered in ultralight anti-drip Nylon and PFC free, a feature that also ensures excellent protection from wind and rain (because yes, during our trial test we also encountered bad weather condition).

During sports activity we appreciate the ability of this garment to naturally neutralize odors and above all its breathable action, keeping the body always at the right temperature and dry. Last but not least, the two side pockets with zip allow you to store small objects such as handkerchiefs or smartphones to keep them comfortably at hand.
