The art of layering clothing

From the underwear to the jacket: dressing in layers for outdoor sports is a real art. Its purpose? Achieving the perfect balance between moisture management, body temperature control and protection from atmospheric agents.

The layering system is designed to keep the body dry and at a constant temperature, both avoiding overheating during physical activity and helping you cool down when you stop.

Hiking, snow sports, mountaineering, trail running, skiing, snowboarding – whatever your favourite sport is, combining the different layers is essential to handle physical exertion during outdoor sports and changing climatic conditions.

Base layer and underwear

Like a second skin, the base layer is what regulates body temperature. Our 100% merino wool underwear and t-shirts are breathable and naturally thermoregulating.

Soft and comfortable, they take advantage of the natural characteristics of wool, which absorbs moisture, releasing it to the outside, keeping the skin dry, preventing the formation of unpleasant odours and preventing the sensation of cold at the end of sports activities.

First Layer

In direct contact with the skin, the first layer is soft and comfortable, without sacrificing style. It has breathable and thermoregulating properties, and keeps the skin dry even after the most intense physical activities.

The first layer can be worn alone or, according to the variations in external temperature, in combination with other layers.

MIdlayer

Warm but light, the midlayer is designed to keep body heat constant and absorb the moisture of the first layer.

The sweatshirt fabrics, like all Rewoolution products, are produced with CompACT3 technology, which ensures 15% more resistance, 30% more elasticity and 20% more softness than traditional merino wool. The zip, half or full, makes it easier to regulate heat.

Outerlayer

The last layer must guarantee protection from atmospheric agents and ensure freedom of movement at the same time.

Designed to achieve maximum sports performance, Rewoolution jackets are characterized by excellent elasticity, extraordinary wear resistance and extreme lightness. Windproof and rainproof, they have a minimalistic and elegant design.
